In my 20s, I was a corporate girly by day and yoga-loving hippie by night
What you’ll find on my blog
In my 30s, I grew into a passionate teacher, guiding my students via the Ashtanga Yoga tradition of Sri K Pattabhi Jois.
About me…
Hi, I’m Nadira! Welcome to my corner of the internet where we celebrate life after 40 – a space for women who are ready to embrace empowerment, wellness, and financial independence with grace, wisdom, and a lot of fun.
This is me in brief
How it all began
As a student of yoga, I learned the importance of strength, resilience and self-care. Over time, those lessons walked off the mat and into the rest of my life, and I started to notice how many women over 40 were quietly struggling to reclaim their power — mentally, emotionally, and financially.
I know that struggle because I've lived it. I grew up in the 80s, raised on a diet culture that told me my whole job was to be small. To take up less space. For years, my "health journey" was really just a thinning journey in disguise — and it took me well into my 40s to finally see that, and to start unlearning it.
What changed everything was strength. I stopped trying to shrink and started building muscle. I learned to take up space — literally and figuratively. I got curious about what was actually going on underneath, from my blood sugar to my nervous system. And somewhere in there I realised the thing nobody had ever taught me: so much of what holds us back isn't a lack of willpower or information. It's a nervous system stuck in survival mode, and a lifetime of being told that wanting more — more health, more money, more room to breathe — was asking for "too much."
That's the work I care about now. Not vague, aspirational wellness — real practices that actually work, that you can actually do.
In my 40s, I embraced entrepreneurship by becoming a boutique yoga studio owner!
The money piece
For years I helped women with their bodies and their minds, but I kept bumping into the same wall: you can't fully step into your power while you're lying awake worrying about money. Financial independence is the one leg of the stool we're quietly taught not to talk about — especially as women.
So I trained as a financial adviser, and honestly, it's become some of the most meaningful work I do. I'm not here to hard-sell you anything — that's genuinely not my style. My only job, if you ever want it, is to give you perspective: on your money, your situation, and the choices in front of you. If that's something you'd like, you can always send me a message.

What to expect
Here, you’ll find resources on physical wellness, mental health, and financial independence - all aimed at empowering women over 40 to lead healthier, more intentional lives. This space is dedicated to women who are redefining their lives with confidence and grace.
Over the years, I have sorta, kinda figured out my preferred route to wellness. It’s a fairly long and bumpy road so your journey has to be peppered with lots of patience, mercy, forgiveness and grace.
I believe that the first step to success is physical health. They say that your body is a temple. It houses your brain and your lifeforce. It is the physical manifestation of your soul and the main building block of your reality.
